Smarter Interiors business cards

Smarter Interiors Business cards

Method: Illustrator / Indesign
Infomation: SmarterInteriors Interior design is an offshoot of SmarterMoves. The two companies tie-in very closely together, with that being the case I created a logo similar to the Smartermoves logo to insinuate a connection, but added some floral elements and a new purple and silver colourway to create the feeling of prestige and high quality.

Overdose flyers

Overdose

Method: Sketchbook / Pens / Illustrator
Infomation: I was asked by Adrian Clarke to help promote his new night at DQ nightclub. After discussion with the promoters, researching the image of their competitors, and talking to people into the music I decided on the creation of an industrial theme. I opted for a logo that included some iconography, and eluded to the “devilish” nature of the night by modifying the type to emulate horns.

Jam Jar flyers

JamJar Flyers

Method: Pens / Scanner / Photoshop
Infomation: David Roch invited me to create an aesthetic around his club night JamJar at DQ. The brief was fairly open and allowed me to explore whatever avenue of design I thought appropriate. David wished to communicate the eclectic nature of the music they regularly play and clientele they were hoping to attract. After having considered the student market, and genres of music associated, I decided a naive hand drawn look would compliment the playful nature of the night.

Love Your Hair logo

Love your Hair Flyers

Method: Adobe Illustrator
Infomation: LoveYourHair is a hair salon based at the town end of London Road in Sheffield. When I visited the salon I noticed its prominent position on the street, and bright colour scheme to catch the eye and attract customer interest. After discussing various ideas with the client, we decided to develop this subverted barcode design. This eludes to the salon’s ideals of encouraging the customer to express themselves rather then allowing the stylist to dictate.
